READY TO RUMBLE

A-1 is rapidly approaching and the time to put the final edge on the blade is here.  At this point, there is not much more you can do to be ready for the season opener.  As a racer, it is the time you have put in the last four months that is really going to count come gate drop on January 8th.

In the last four months a lot of things have changed.  First and foremost, I hired Aldon Baker as my trainer.  Not only is he an amazing person, but a knowledge packed drill sergeant (lol).  He has been a crucial part of of my 2011 preparation and I can’t explain how excited I am to be working with him.

Last season, after coming back from my knee injury, I thought I was prepared. It quickly became clear I was not up to par in the first few races. I was forced to try and race myself into shape.  I have no one to blame for that but myself and can only chalk it up as a learning experience.

This year, I have taken steps to ensure I put myself in the best possible position come Jan 8th.  They say “Success is where preparation meets opportunity” and I have become a firm believer. This season, I have done all the necessary preparation and am ready to rumble once that gate drops.
