Keeping it constant in Atlanta

Going into Atlanta with a 12 point lead over second place, Ryan’s goal coming into the race was to win but also focus on keeping the points lead. “For how the day went overall, I’m happy to be leaving with a second. We struggled a bit in practice and in the heat race we found some momentum for the main. I started off ok then worked my way to the front. After leading for a bit, I made a small mistake coming out of the corner before the triple which I had to double and that’s when Roczen made the pass. He was riding strong and I’m stoked we went 1 – 2.” Said Villopoto. Ryan now has a 9 point lead over Roczen going into next weekends race at Indy.
