Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Villopoto Extends Points Lead at Hometown Race


Irvine, Calif.- Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto added one more point to his championship lead with a come-from-behind fourth-place finish in front of his hometown crowd at Qwest Field in Seattle, Wash.


Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Villopoto Continues to Lead Series With Podium Finish in St. Louis


Irvine, Calif. – Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto finished on the podium for the second week in a row, helping him retain the points lead in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis. With his third-place finish, Villopoto sits five points ahead of second.


Villopoto Takes Back the Points Lead in Dallas


Irvine, Calif. (April 4, 2011) – Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto reclaimed the points lead in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM championship at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Determined to get back on the podium and reclaim his position on top of the points standings, Villopoto came to Arlington with his game face on. He rode with consistent determination on the technical track, patiently working his way into the runner-up position by the end of the main event.




Working his way through the pack, Villopoto was charging through the field to catch the front-runners. On Lap 3, the Washington native and James Stewart collided in the corner after the whoops section, causing both riders to go down. With damage to his bike, Villopoto was forced to pull into the mechanics area for repairs. He recovered to finish ninth.

Good Luck to No Luck, Villopoto Heads to Canada 7 Points Up


After a putting himself into good position all year, Villopoto wasn’t able to find the same fortune in Jacksonville. In the heat race, Villopoto went down after a rider crashed in front of him, leaving him nowhere to go. Lucky to ride off uninjured, he lined up for the LCQ. He got a good jump, but as everyone funneled into the first turn, Villopoto got pushed off he track and came around outside the top-10. He was unable to move into the top-two positions during the short six-lap race.
